The Sterrekatten cattery in 2008

In 2007 I had 3 kittens (all with new owners) that had extremeley good showresults in 3 different countries: Johnny be Good (in FIFE shows in Germany) , Katha Bjoern ( in FIFE shows in Denmark) and Lancelot (in FIFE shows in Spain and Portugal).

I hope that Lilith, McHammer, Marie, Madonna, Nemo, Nera, Nadia, Nova, Nighty, Obelix and Dexter will have the same succes in 2008 as their older halfbrothers had in 2007.

Shows

In 2007 I had 3 Sterrekatten litters and they were among the best litters so far. All from my breeding male IC (N) Uno av Sandrabben, with 3 different females. With my friends Harry and Tatjana (cattery Tahatu) I also had 2 very nice litters from Uno.

This year I will have 2 litters at the Sterrekatten cattery. Because the kittens of the 2007 litter were so beautiful and nice tempered, my choice is to do a litter with Josephine again. I planned a mating with a fantastic male of my own breed: Sterrekatten’s Katha Bjoern (the blue bear) who lives in Denmark (thanks a lot Sissel!). Katha shares the qualities of his father Uno and his mother Okki, so I expect a lot from this future litter. When she has won enough points for her EC-title I wil mate Nyssa with a very interesting male from another cattery. Uno will do only 4 (already agreed) outdoor matings with females of outstanding lines and qualities. I am very excited about these future kittens

In 2008 , Sterrekatten’s Johnny be Good will also do a number of outdoor matings with some very fine females. Johnny has proved to give kittens of very good (show-)qualities.

In 2008 I will go to shows with Nyssa, Uno and Ilvis as the representatives of my cattery. Nyssa needs only a few points for her EC-title, and Uno only 2 points for his GIC title. SO after they have reached their titles, I will go with Ilvis.

From march 2008, I will also witness the showparticipations of my two very promising boys Power and Pure (from Okki and Harmakhet’s Demolition Man). I have set my hope on these two very promising youngsters for the coming years.

 Plans  

In 2008 I removed the pages of Ushka, Rexie, Ulmai and Johnny.

Johnny's page is removed because he has his own page now at the internetsite of his owners Ali and Gerrit of Norforcats. Rexie's page is removed because she joined Johnny at Norforcats. She stays a hostcat from our cattery.

I wanted to reduce the number of cats so I choose to find a new home for Ulmai and Ushka after I had them neutered. Ulmai is still living in Appelscha with good friends who also have two Sterrekatten kittens. I see him regularly. I keep a good contact with their new owners and know that they have a very good life. Ushka lives with a family where she is the only cat and gets 100% attention.

Of course I test all my breedingcats for HCM and PKD every year.
